Miss Washington 2014 arrival.

Yesterday, June 29 was the official kick-off to the week! Every girl arrived in style and was able to show off cute ensembles in a fashion show at the arrival ceremony.

I would like to thank Pink Pearl Boutique in Richland for my casual and chic look!(More pictures of the outfit to come!) Also, thank you to Mipo for hosting us!

During the autograph session.

Following the fashion show, the contestants and I sat down for an autograph session, where we got to mix and mingle with our fellow pageant lovers and say goodbye to our friends and family for the time being!

We were then wished away to rehearsals to learn our production numbers. And let me tell you, if you don’t have a ticket for the how yet, you’ll want to be getting one because the production numbers are incredible!

Today, June 30 consisted of a lot more production rehearsals and a very special trip to Seattle Children’s Hospital. The majority of the girls, including myself, spent their time in the playroom. Here, we got to interact with patients and patients friends and family alike. I met some incredible children and even got to get my hands dirty playing with PlayDough!

I think I can speak for all of the contestant when I say we are so grateful to have had that experience.

On the other hand, in rehearsals we learned three dances. Yes, three!

It has already been a tiring, but very rewarding week. I can’t wait to see what else is in store.

Tomorrow, the contestants and I are journeying to the Renton Farmer’s Market, so if you are in town come say hello! We’ll be the ones with shiny things on our heads.

Also, we have a very exciting opportunity to skydive indoors at iFly on Friday, July 4 if anyone in the area is interested! At $25 per flight, the deal is almost undeniable!

To wrap things up, I just wanted to extend my deepest gratitude to those who have supported me thus far in my journey and are always there to offer encouraging words and kindness. I could not be here without your help!
